How does the counseling process work?

Getting your finances in order can be a daunting process, but we've developed some tools that will hopefully make it easier.

After you email giftcounsel@gmail.com, our administrator will send you a GIFT Ministry Packet to complete. Once you complete this packet and email it back to our administrator, you will be able to schedule an appointment with one of our GIFT Counselors.

Why do I need to fill out the GIFT Ministry Packet to completion?

Some of the material in the GIFT Ministry Packet might seem irellevant to your financial concerns, but it provides the counselor with a full understanding of your finances. This enables the counselor to give more productive advice.

How much does it cost?

There is a small fee for the counseling.  All of our counselors are volunteers, so they don't get paid, but the fees go towards materials, classes, and workshops.

Are the counselors qualified?

John McKewen has personally trained and certified all of our GIFT counselors. These men and women are volunteers who are not paid for their time and are burdened to share the biblical view of finances. Whether counseling for years or just a few months, they are all committed to learning and helping in whatever way they can.

How often do you offer classes?

Normally, we offer our classes once per year.  We are working on offering our Personal Finance Seminar more often with some options for families and college students.

I emailed and haven't heard back yet...

We've had a lot of people say that our emails have gone to spam.  We are typically pretty responsive so you should see something within a couple business days, but reach out again if you don't hear back!
